Home Buyers Protection Acquires Radon Pros

Home Buyers Protection Company Acquires Radon Pros, LLC

Home Buyers Protection Company, consistently ranked as one of Omaha’s top home-inspection services since its founding in 1980, has purchased Radon Pros, LLC, Home Buyers Protection Company President Jim Stenger has announced.

Radon Pros, another highly rated Omaha-area company, will remain as a separate entity with the same employees, Stenger said. Former Radon Pros owners Debbie and Jeff Kalina will stay with the company through 2017 during the ownership transition, added Stenger, whose Home Buyers Protection Company again was recently ranked in the top three of “The Best of Omaha,” by Omahamagazine.com (http://omahamagazine.com/best-of-omaha-2017-results/).

“This is an acquisition that involves two great Omaha-area companies,” Stenger pointed out. “Radon Pros is uniquely qualified to meet the needs of our clients.”

Under the Kalinas’ leadership, Radon Pros consistently has been one of Nebraska’s top state-certified radon testing and mitigation companies. According to state records, Radon Pros has installed more radon mitigation systems in Nebraska than any other company during the past five years.  Radon Pros also has a strong track record of pursuing continuing education and following the most recent research and effective practices.

Debbie Kalina has been a state-certified radon mitigation and measurement specialist since 2000, having designed and managed the installation of more than 6,000 mitigation systems. Jeff Kalina has been a certified radon measurement and mitigation specialist since 2007, and he has overseen the company’s testing operations as well as conducting site visits and bidding for mitigation projects. Radon Pros works closely with the real estate community to make the company uniquely qualified to meet any need.

Radon Pros provides tailored mitigation systems for homes or buildings, reducing

the cancer-causing radon levels that are often found in Nebraska. In addition to testing and mitigation, Radon Pros has strong backgrounds in civil engineering, construction, electrical and craftsmanship. In Iowa, the company currently does testing only and does not install mitigation systems.

“This is a strong move. Acquiring a quality company such as Radon Pros will help make us even more competitive in our Nebraska and Iowa market,” said Stenger, whose wife Cher is the vice president and director of marketing for Home Buyers Protection Company.

Cher said: “Home Buyers Protection Company is Omaha’s original home-inspection company and has been setting the area standard for 37 years. Because we have been strengthened further with this acquisition, the winners will be the consumers who need our vital services.”

Jim and his wife Cher own and manage residential and commercial properties, which gives Jim the opportunity to utilize his general construction skills.

As the area’s most experienced home- and business-inspection company, Home Buyers Protection Company employs trained professionals who are certified by the American Society of Home Inspectors®. Home Buyers Protection Company offers a full range of inspection services for buyers, sellers and real estate professionals.
